Jack is the co-founder of One Financial Services.
From an early age, Jack’s passion was teaching. His father was a much-beloved teacher and Jack grew up watching the impact his father made on others’ lives. Jack often says, “There are few more profound and meaningful endeavors than helping a person realize the knowledge and wisdom they already possess." It is this understanding of the importance of helping and informing others that is evident in the feedback he has received from his clients since 1984.
Graduating from Easton Area High School in 1980, Jack went on to major in accounting at Lycoming College and embarked on his path as a financial service professional. In March 2019, Jack received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Foundation for Easton Schools.
Clients often describe the benefits they have seen from Jack’s gift of helping them more clearly understand their situation, define their financial goals, and choose from the realistic financial management options that are available to them. One of Jack’s greatest strengths is his patience; the time he spends with each client asking and answering questions and developing trust.
It is, therefore, not a surprise that Jack was named once again to the Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors* list for 2022, following his being listed in 2021. Speaking of the level of commitment it has taken to reach this milestone, Jack said, “My sole focus is to provide my clients with the best possible advice in pursuit of their financial goals, and while doing so to provide that same focused leadership to the other One Financial Services advisors and team members.”
Jack’s multiple professional designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS®), and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) identify him as an individual who has met the education, examination, experience, and ethics standards established by both the State Board of Accountancy and the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Jack is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He is also a member and serves on the Investment Committee of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Jack is Series 7, 24, and 63 registered through LPL Financial and holds a Pennsylvania resident life, health, and disability insurance license.
One of Jack’s favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein, “Adversity introduces a man to himself”, which when viewed from the outside can be easily understood: Jack and his wife Leslie are parents to three children, two of whom have special needs and intellectual disabilities. What many would consider adversity, Jack considers gifts…the gift of patience, understanding, problem-solving, and prioritizing. These lessons are woven into both Jack’s personal and professional life.
Wanting to share his time and talents with others, volunteering with several non-profit organizations takes a prominent place in Jack’s life. He currently serves on the board of directors for the following organizations: LifePath Foundation, LifePath Corporation, and The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley.
For the past thirty-three years, Jack’s life-experiences, patience, and listening skills, combined with his professional and technical knowledge have made him positioned to provide advice and counsel to people facing important life event decisions. That life experience was recognized and celebrated in the June 2017 edition of Men’s Health. Here is a story of Jack and his family.
