We live in a time of specialization: You wouldn’t let a plumber fix your computers or expect a delivery person to perform heart surgery. So don’t allow people who are unqualified to perform tasks critical to your financial success or advise you about some of life’s most important financial decisions.
At One Financial Services, our team is comprised of highly qualified, certified financial professionals. Here are a few facts about how we achieve and maintain our qualifications.
A Certified Financial Planner must complete thirty hours of continuing education (CE) each two-year reporting period. And as a CFP® professional, each year you are required to pay an annual certification fee and submit a Renewal Application, where you will confirm that you are adhering to the CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct to maintain CFP® certification.
To become a Certified Public Accountant, (CPA), and continue to be accredited as one in Pennsylvania, you need to graduate with a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school. Have at least 24 credits in accounting and auditing, business law, micro or macroeconomics, finance, or tax subjects sanctioned by the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy. And, an additional 12 credits in accounting, auditing, and tax subjects. That’s all before you complete eighty hours of continuing education (CE) every two years.
Licensed Pennsylvania Life Insurance professionals must complete an Insurance Pre-licensing Course followed by passing the rigorous Pennsylvania Licensing Examination. Once the exam is successfully completed, you may apply for a Pennsylvania Insurance License which includes being fingerprinted. Licensed Insurance Professionals are required to complete continuing education courses every two years. Failure to do so results in immediate suspension of the license.
